Bringing Home the Dough
The Sales Planner will be responsible for bridging the gap between sales strategies, new product launches, marketing data and supply chain planning activities to ensure optimal alignment to demand forecasting, inventory management, and revenue generation. The Sales Planner will play a critical role in developing accurate sales forecasts, coordinating with marketing teams, planning inventory needs, and supporting the monthly supply chain planning cycle to meet customer demand efficiently and cost-effectively.
Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities
- Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, preferences, and demand patterns to ensure alignment between sales, marketing, and supply chain strategies
- Coordinate between customers, sales teams and operations to ensure the correct mix of products are available to achieve sales targets, leveraging industry expertise
- Collect, monitor, and validate commercial inputs (promotions, new business, point of sales data, etc.)
- Manage Innovation NPI launch details (forecast inputs, timing, customers, product availability, etc.)
- Collect and monitor customer forecasts, inventory and other data to identify which products must be produced
- Coordinate with the sales and marketing teams to monitor and validate TPM (Trade Promotions Management software) plans
- Align on gaps, risks and opportunities with the demand planner and cross functional teams
- Support annual planning processes, translates drivers to demand planner for bottom up forecasting, and supports monthly reconciliation to achieve targets
- Support certain sales specific processes including, but not limited to retail shelf resets, buyer presentations, and promotional pricing models
- Participate heavily in the monthly S&OP planning process
- Efficiently build territory sales file
- Process data into Distributor Maintenance/Activate Buyer/Deactivate Seller
- Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
- Perform other duties deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies, and procedures.
Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in operations, sales, supply chain, or finance related fields
- 3+ years of sales and demand planning experience
- CPG experience, food & beverage industry preferred
- Advanced experience with Microsoft office applications, Excel and PowerPoint a must
- Experience with Trade Promotions Management software, ERP software, business intelligence tools & business analytics software

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, or a business-related field or equivalent working experience
