SETA Ground Systems Engineer - (TS/SCI) - Military Veterans

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Ground Systems Engineer to support the US Space Force (USSF) in developing, deploying, and sustaining a National Security Space system within the Space Systems Command Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SSC/SZ) system program office onsite in El Segundo, CA. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Required Position Posture: SETA / A&AS
Responsibilities:
- Support various systems architecting and engineering activities such as system requirements definition, design, interface management, data architecture development, verification and validation, integration, performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis, and physical configuration assessments.
- Develop and manage ground segment technical and interface requirements. Manage interface negotiation with external stakeholders.
- Oversee requirements and interface verification.
- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Support development of system engineering items such as CONOPs, requirements definitions (or features, themes, epics), system testing, algorithm document review, and interfaces to other application development efforts.
- Support the development and refinement of acquisition strategies as well as identifying program execution issues and provide recommendations when possible.
Requirements:
- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
- Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI and be willing to consent to a polygraph examination
- Experience with ground systems development, integration, and/or operations of DoD or other Agency (NRO, NSA, NASA, etc.)
- Experience supporting systems engineering teams focused on integration of complex space and/or ground systems
Compensation: Depending on years of experience and degree
- 160,000-185,000k : 9+ years of experience
- 185,000-210,000k : 15+ years of experience
