Safety Manager - Military Veterans

The company is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee health and safety operations at its Anderson, SC facility. This is an excellent opportunity for military veterans who are looking to apply their leadership and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

The Safety Manager will be a key figure in developing and maintaining a culture of safety, partnering with manufacturing and utilities teams to ensure the highest standards of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS). As a leader in the safety space, you'll be working on strategic risk management plans to protect the workforce and ensure that the company's facilities, equipment, and work processes meet regulatory and safety standards.

The Safety Manager will lead efforts to embed a safety-first mentality across all operations. This includes driving continuous improvement in safety processes, ensuring that safety policies and training programs are effective, and maintaining compliance with OHS regulations. A significant part of this role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure that new equipment designs and modifications meet safety standards. Military veterans will find their experience in managing high-stakes situations and working with diverse teams to be directly transferable to the challenges faced in this role.

In addition to managing daily safety operations, you will oversee the administration of worker's compensation claims and the company's Return-to-Work program, ensuring that all employees are supported throughout their recovery. You will also play a critical role in emergency management, accident response, and training initiatives, ensuring that the workforce is equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to maintain a safe working environment. Your leadership will be key to fostering open communication and trust among employees, ensuring that safety remains a core value of the organization.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should have a degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field, along with at least five years of experience in a manufacturing health and safety position. Military veterans with experience in risk management, compliance, and safety training are highly encouraged to apply.

Base salary, $120K - $160K with a 10-15% annual bonus and 5% quarterly bonus. Full benefits, low cost of living area
