Financial Counselor:

The Financial Counselor is an individual who is responsible for verifying information sent over by the financial planner. The Financial Counselor also has to administer the various types of scholarships and grants available to students in order to pursue a course in the educational institution.

Schedule is subject to change:


Monday/Wednesday: 11am-7:30pm est

Tuesday/Thursday: 11am-9pm est

Friday: 10am-6pm est

*Rotates working a Sat instead of a Friday once a month

Compensation: $44-$45K , hourly non exempt

Location: Remote

We are eligible to hire in the following states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, ID, IN, KY, LA, MI, MO, MS, NC, NV, OH, OK, SC, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA and WI

What you will be doing:

• Prepare, explain, and supply the applicant with appropriate documents to make an informed decision regarding financial aid.
• Help students obtain funding through various programs available.
• Assist parents and students in navigating the financial aid process, entrance counseling.
• Download ISIRS and adjust numbers in Salesforce, if needed. Notify Admissions of the change.
• Verify and audit the work of a Financial Planner.
• Clear C codes along with Clear verification.
• Ensure confidentiality of all information is maintained.
• Interpret, apply, and comply with all federal, state regulations.
• Authorize to hold or release of funds.
• Update Salesforce appropriately in the financial aid section regarding funding score, etc.
• Verify proof of education of potential students.

Qualifications needed:

• Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience.
• Salesforce experience a plus
• 2 years of financial aid experience preferred.
