This organization works with manufacturers and industrial businesses throughout PA, MD, DE, VA, WV, OH, and NY to help them identify beneficial improvements and opportunities in their compressed air, paint finishing, and fluid handling processes and equipment.
These improvements can increase energy savings, lessen environmental impacts, enhance the customer's processes, increase equipment reliability and quality, decrease maintenance costs, and help boost worker safety.
Under the general direction of the Service Manager and Senior Service Technician. Compressed Air Service Technicians install, test, and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of most major air compressor brands and sizes. You will have direct consultation with management where appropriate, but your independent judgment is frequently required in coordinating projects, setting priorities, and analyzing air compressor problems. The scope of job responsibilities is diverse and complex. The quality of decisions made contributes to the success of the company and to the positive image of the organization's brand.
Duties and responsibilities
- Make service calls to perform preventive maintenance or to analyze the malfunction of various types of air compressors (including piston, rotary screw, vacuum, oil free) and dryers (refrigerated, desiccant, deliquescent)
- Maintenance and analysis of problems involves comprehensive knowledge of the compressor and dryers mechanical systems and controls and understanding of customer needs analysis results in repair/enhancement/replacement of equipment, focusing on the best operational needs of the customer, and may require set-up of temporary compressors or dryers
- Trouble shoot with customers on the phone to diagnose compressor and dryer problems and consult with manufacturers to determine solution to unusual problems as required
- Complete accurate and legible paperwork, including preparation of quotes, work orders, warranty work, parts and equipment orders, and office communications
- Assist the Sales Department in determining customer needs by providing information on various equipment performance efficiencies and customer applications
- Complete administrative paperwork for the Regional Manager, in manager's absence and as assigned.
Base salary, $60K - $75K plus plenty overtime. A company vehicle is provided after training, and they offer great benefits and a 401k. They will pay relocation for the right candidate. You are home pretty much every night as travel is just regional. The current needs are for the Richmond to DC area.
