Overview
The Records Processing Agent processes incoming and outgoing mail containing medical records and requests for records as well as document reproduction while maintaining production and quality levels through tracked metrics.
This is an ONSITE POSITION at our Blue Bell, PA location.
Responsibilities
- Operate high volume printers, copiers, scanners, folding/inserting machine, postage/sealing machine, and shredder.
- Prepare outgoing mail for delivery.
- Perform routine mail pickups.
- Open, sort and distribute mail to the appropriate receiver.
- Process records received on CDs, Flash Drives, and other electronic storage devices.
- Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
- Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to give close attention to details, including planning, executing, and follow up procedures.
- Ability to type 35 words per minute preferred.
- Previous experience in a mailroom environment preferred.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- Ability to lift 40-50 pound bins for the majority of the workday with or without accommodation, including using both arms to lift, bending, and/or crouching to retrieve 40-50 pound objects from the floor, and walking around while carrying 40-50 pounds.
- Ability to push or pull 300-400 pounds on a rolling container five to ten times a day.
- Ability to get up and down from one's chair approximately 50 times a day.
- Ability to stand the majority of the workday on provided work mats.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- No adverse environmental conditions are expected.
Nonexempt employees are eligible to receive overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a given week, or as otherwise required by applicable state law.
