Job Description
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are recruiting for a Senior Administrative Assistant, for the Department of Medicine. This role supports the Solid Tumor Gastrointestinal Oncology (STGI) Service Chief, Dr. Yelena Janjigian.
Role Overview:
- Provide administrative support to the STGI Service Chief
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and conferences as requested. Manage complex calendars using independent judgment based on knowledge of priorities and resources
- Arrange appropriate meeting spaces and set up given meeting/seminar requirements (e.g., food ordering, technology devices, etc)
- Prepare/produce documents including memos, correspondence, reports, presentations, and manuals as required
- Manage the acquisition and distribution of office supplies for the department
- Assist with the department's projects of moderate complexity. These projects require independent judgment, critical thinking, and solid organizational skills
- Coordinate faculty recruitment, appointments, and promotions
- Submit and track contracts, disclosures, and invoices
- Cross-cover Admin Assistant lines as needed
- Operate autonomously, with discretion, in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
Key Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in an Administrative Assistant role
- 1-3 years of experience with calendar management
- Experience with contracts, disclosures, and invoices
- Experience collaborating with high-level leadership across multiple departments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams & Zoom

- Strong prioritization, attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Adaptable, responsive, and able to meet the changing needs of dynamic situations
- A decisive individual with a track record of making timely decisions that drive progress
- Ability to understand and address the needs of team members and maintain positive working relationships to ensure smooth operations

- Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm, hybrid schedule
- Location: 300 E. 66th Street
- Pay Range: $27.80 - $43.08/hour
Reporting to the Manager of the Service.
