Pharmacy Administration and Public Health
The Department of Pharmacy Administration and Public Health in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at St. John's University is seeking applicants for two full-time tenure track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in Pharmacy Administration, to begin in Spring 2025 The Pharmacy Administration program at St John's University focuses on training professionals and graduate students to advance scholarship that is practice focused, patient-centered, and outcomes-oriented. Our graduates are equipped with the tools to become leaders in their respective fields who work effectively in interprofessional collaborative environments. The faculty is committed to academic excellence, scholarship, and service to our community. The University's location, experienced faculty, diverse graduate student body and, a wide variety of course offerings, adds to the educational and research experience students receive in the program.
Responsibilities
This position offers unique and exciting opportunities to advance the profession through innovative teaching, scholarship, and service. The applicant will develop and teach Pharmacy Administration courses including Social and Behavioral Aspects of Healthcare, Pharmacoeconomics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Economics and Outcomes, Heath Care Finance, Marketing and Management, Health Care Systems etc. Other teaching responsibilities may be assigned based on departmental needs. Successful applicants will join a team of productive researchers focused on advancing scholarship that is practice focused, patient-centered, and outcomes-oriented. Service to the university community through mentoring of professional/graduate/undergraduate students and, active participation on committees is also expected.
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a Ph.D degree in Pharmacy Administration or in other health related sciences fields. A background in Pharmacy is preferred.
Salary
The hire-on salary range for Assistant Professor, Pharmacy Administration is $105,000 - $115,000.
