Rental Manager - Military Veterans

Summary of Primary Functions:

This position is responsible for the oversight of all rental activity and rental fleet management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Continuous development and improvement of current rental process

Maintain rental revenue and margins to meet business plan

Update and manage daily rental inventory reports

Schedule and reconcile all inventory audits

Ensure proper rental check IN/OUT procedures are being followed at the branch level

Review and approve all rental requests

Manage fleet utilization and return on assets

Oversight of transport costs and coordination of equipment

Monitor internal work orders for rental fleet and issue purchase orders for work done on rental fleet

Ensure damages are captured and charged accordingly

Work with Service Managers and General Managers in the evaluation of damages to rental machines

Assists Sales Operations Manager with aged rental fleet asset management

Assists with machine and attachment depreciation

Ensure document compliance and protection of company assets

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Inventory/Rental/Sales experience

Customer Service experience

E ducation, Skill, and/or Experience Requirements:

College degree with previous experience in rental fleet management or related experience required, college degree is preferred

Management, organization and communication skills must be highly developed

Customer Service experience

Ability to multi-task and prioritize

Computer skills need to be broad based

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and statistics.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
