Bagging department technicians are responsible for preparing the finished prescription as well as other light warehouse duties.

• Assist pharmacists by sorting medications
• Check racks/bins before each delivery departure for missing meds
• Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
• During down times, may assist pharmacy floor for additional support
• Ensure all medications are scanned into the computer system (Frameworks) and staged correctly for each delivery
• Ensure all medications are sorted/packed as required inside totes
• Ensure that all necessary packaging documents are attached to each tote before handing it to the delivery personnel
• Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPPA
• Prep for the day, set up delivery totes/stickers
• Prepare delivery manifests, packing slips and ancillary paperwork (MCRs, TSP notifications etc.) to correspond to appropriate facility
• Retrieve final reviewed medication baskets/carts from RPh final review stations (including STATs)
• Scan all medications pending for delivery using Frameworks
• Scans manifests into system for confirmation of delivery
• Sort all baskets/carts of final reviewed medications according to facility units, location and delivery times
• Sorting medications by routes
• Toting/Bagging medications for delivery
• Other duties as assigned
• Overtime, holidays and weekends may be required and/or expected

• May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
• The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently
