Job Summary
Bagging department technicians are responsible for preparing the finished prescription as well as other light warehouse duties.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists by sorting medications
- Check racks/bins before each delivery departure for missing meds
- Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
- During down times, may assist pharmacy floor for additional support
- Ensure all medications are scanned into the computer system (Frameworks) and staged correctly for each delivery
- Ensure all medications are sorted/packed as required inside totes
- Ensure that all necessary packaging documents are attached to each tote before handing it to the delivery personnel
- Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPPA
- Prep for the day, set up delivery totes/stickers
- Prepare delivery manifests, packing slips and ancillary paperwork (MCRs, TSP notifications etc.) to correspond to appropriate facility
- Retrieve final reviewed medication baskets/carts from RPh final review stations (including STATs)
- Scan all medications pending for delivery using Frameworks
- Scans manifests into system for confirmation of delivery
- Sort all baskets/carts of final reviewed medications according to facility units, location and delivery times
- Sorting medications by routes
- Toting/Bagging medications for delivery
- Other duties as assigned
- Overtime, holidays and weekends may be required and/or expected

- May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
