The Incumbent under the direction of an assigned supervisor in athletic department, performs specialized maintenance duties related to the gym, tennis courts and surrounding grounds; perform general custodial and maintenance duties associated with exercise science and athletics facilities. Current Vacancy: Cuyamaca College, Athletics, Kinesiology & Health Education Type of position: Full-Time - Monday - Friday (may be asked to flex hours to cover athletic games) Anticipated Start Date: January 2025 Salary: Range CL-23 $19.48 - $24.36 Hourly $3,376 - $4,223 Monthly (based on 40 hours per week) Initial Salary Placement: New employees start at Step A ($19.48 per hour) or B ($20.60 per hour) on the salary schedule. VETERAN'S POINTS: Veterans not previously employed by the District, with 30 days or more of military service who become eligible for appointment by attaining the passing mark established for the examination, shall be allowed an additional credit of five (5) points and disabled veterans shall be allowed an additional credit of ten (10) points, which shall be added to the percentages attained in the examinations by the veterans. Any applicant who claims veteran's credit must submit Form DD 214 at the time the employment application is submitted. Failure to submit Form DD 214 at the time of application shall result in no veteran's credits being considered or added to any passing score. ASSESSMENT PROCESS : The assessment process for this position may include any combination of the following: An application screening for initial qualifications Supplemental training and experience screening, documentation(s)/ certification(s) screening Written examination Performance examination Oral examination. The District reserves the right to utilize a flexible pass point (cut-off) on any test part to meet the staffing needs as determined by the District. If you participate in and fail any examination segment, you must wait a period of 90 days (approximately 3 months) to test again for the same classification during a posted recruitment.
