Overview

HP is on a mission to build a more sustainable and resilient supply chain. Core to this mission is driving break-through performance across our global manufacturing network of partner, original design and contract manufacturers. The Leader of Continuous Improvement is responsible for the leadership of continuous improvement processes and governance across Personal Systems manufacturing organization and footprint. This position reports to the Global Head of Personal Systems Operations Supply Chain Quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high performing LSS team of Lean and Six Sigma professionals responsible for delivering ongoing improvements across our Supply Chain organization with a focus on innovation and continuous learning.
  • Deployment of a LSS operating system that drives and manages continuous improvement activities that create value, reduce waste and improve productivity
  • Provide leadership, training and coaching to Six Sigma practitioners and the LSS project portfolio. Strong skills to develop people, build cross functional teams, coach and provide effective feedback
  • Collaborate with product engineering, product management, and supply chain functions to deliver projects that support strategic initiatives
  • Develop and implement LSS strategy and roadmap to drive and develop continuous improvement culture throughout the organization
  • Champion LSS training program; manage curriculum, standards and certifications process. Engage and motivate the organization to embrace continuous improvement practices
  • Utilize statistical analysis and data driven approaches to identify opportunities for improvement and measure the effectiveness and impact
  • Establish Continuous Improvement goals, KPIs and metrics aligned with the organization's strategic objections. Track & measure performance and communicate to the organization and senior leadership
  • 'Big Picture' mindset, drive transformative actions and challenge the status quo
  • Proven track record of senior leader stakeholder management, executive level communication, delivering enterprise-wide projects from concept to implementation and ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to justify, baseline and report project status
  • Proficient in statistical knowledge, simulation and analytical methods and software (PowerBI, Tableau, Minitab, etc.)
  • Proficient in Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies. And managing multi project portfolios
  • Anticipate roadblocks, both intellectual and political, and proactively address issues before they impact business results
  • Partner with Supply Chain functions and subject matter experts to help inform new ideas by identifying areas to differentiate and capture value

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (engineering) or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred
  • 12+ years of experience, mastery of all Six Sigma concepts and tools including Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, Root Cause Analysis, DMAIC, etc.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certified; Master Black Belt certification preferred
  • Proven leadership ability across large cross functional teams and implementation of enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Continuous improvement and implementation experience required
  • Project Management skills, experience operating in an Operations environment; experience operating across all Supply Chain functions preferred
  • Proven change agent, change management skills required
  • Senior leadership level presentation skills

The base pay range for this role is $115,850 to $178,400 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
