Brief Job Overview
The Digital & Innovation group at USP is seeking a Senior Manager with skills in managing and mentoring team(s) comprising of data engineers, data scientists and data analysts to work on projects that drive innovations and deliver digital solutions. We are seeking someone who come with thought leadership and can help drive optimal solutions with perseverance.

Data Services / Business Intelligence capabilities include the ability to instrument critical metrics, identify the landscape of the entire function, determine opportunities for improvement, work with Product to craft scalable solutions, and monitor their performance.
Who USP is Looking For?
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Analytics or Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics) or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in data engineering / analytics, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing scalable data products.
- Strong proficiency in analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong Proficiency in Data Engineering, Authoring and Data governance tools like AWS Redshift, Snowflake, ADF, Data Bricks, Azure Purview etc.
- Proficiency in ETL pipelines, Workflow management etc.
- Proficiency in AI, Gen AI and ML applications. Good understanding of chunking and context driven content extraction using Gen AI models.
- Exposure to Knowledge graphs to deduce complex relationships between entities
- Must have experience in data virtualization, data quality frameworks and must have managed complex data pipelines.
- Proficient in data modelling techniques for enterprise data programs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data models to meaningful insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team and experience in cross functional colloboration.
- Experience in data governance and ensuring data quality and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital data services strategy that aligns with the company’s D&I goals and objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing team of Data Engineers and Data scientists.
- Foster a data-driven culture within the D&I department, emphasizing the importance of data insights in driving business decisions.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in our Digital & Innovation group.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Drive innovation by exploring new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance digital program experience.
Additional Desired Preferences
- Good understanding of REST API’s micro services.
- Communicate complex data insights and KPI metrics in a clear and compelling manner to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
