Position Summary
As a Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance at Oncor, you're the process owner responsible for managing Oncor's Continuous Improvement functionalities including being the resident expert in the development and deployment of Oncor's Lean Six Sigma program and continuous improvement initiatives. Elements of these functionalities include management, training and deployment of Lean, Six Sigma (LSS), Change Management and Malcolm Baldrige criteria to meet the needs of Oncor. You'll have end-to-end oversight of Oncor's Lean Six Sigma infrastructure in collaboration with the Director of Center for Excellence & Innovation and Senior Leadership sponsors to provide a comprehensive and superior service to internal clients. The ideal candidate will possess a robust combination of leadership, management, and technical skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
This position will be in-person based in our 777 Main St - Fort Worth, TX location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs all essential functions and aspects of the position including any other specific job requirements.
- Manages activities within Center for Excellence and Innovation to include planning and oversight of training, tools and education as required by SMEs across the enterprise to sustain Oncor's culture of Continuous Improvement.
- Responsible for development and execution of key performance indicators that are aligned with Oncor's strategic objectives.
- Responsible for partnering with internal customers to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of innovation efforts and assure that they support Oncor's Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Leads or assists in the development of strategies that lead to high levels of performance and customer service of the enterprise through effective management of Oncor's Continuous Improvement functionalities.
- Leads implementation of Lean Six Sigma (LSS), Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC), and Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, Verify (DMADV) improvement models to facilitate improvements in organizational performance.
- Responsible for the activities of Oncor's internal LSS training program providing oversight and input into Oncor's LSS curriculum development and sustainment; instruct LSS classes and modules as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining the standards of LSS certification projects by overseeing the Black Belts and Master Black Belts inside Quality Assurance to provide final approval on DMAIC and DMADV projects completed by LSS belt candidates.
- Lead the design and sustainment of a business process architecture to help internal Oncor organizations with strategy and tactical execution of continuous improvement.
- Ability to translate complex issues into clear and concise concepts through effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop and lead a high-performance organization that proactively collaborates with key stakeholders.
- Ability to use critical thought to help organizational leaders solve complex business problems using effective root cause analysis.
- Highly experienced with Minitab statistical software.
- Highly experienced with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Outlook); advanced Excel capabilities is a plus.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent AND 10 years work-related experience in project management and application of continuous improvement tools and processes including 5 years of management experience in a quality or Lean Six Sigma organization leading other certified LSS Green / Black Belts and/or 5 years of LSS class instruction and project certification oversight
- Will consider applicants with Bachelor's degree AND 8 years work-related experience in project management and application of continuous improvement tools and processes including 4 years of management experience in a quality or Lean Six Sigma organization leading other certified LSS Green / Black Belts and/or 4 years of LSS class instruction and project certification oversight in lieu of above criteria.
- Applicants with Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification and/or relevant certifications / registrations such as Project Management Professional, Change Management, etc. encouraged to apply.
