Job Description:
Position Summary:
Provides excellent customer service by utilizing a delivery vehicle to deliver pre-ordered items to residential and business customers. Receives in-store customer order and records specific delivery instructions. Provides added value by informing regular customers of new products and services and address customer questions and concerns. This position requires working weekends and holidays based on department staffing requirements.
Here's what you'll do:
- Delivers pre-ordered items to residential and business customers
- Loads delivery vehicle with customer orders
- Receives and writes customer order with delivery instructions
- Navigates adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes and other delivery sites while carrying product
- Collects customer payment and record all sales and delivery transactions
- Ensures customer signature on delivery receipts
- Informs customers of new products and services
- Picks up empty containers and rejected or returned merchandise
- Maintains clean delivery vehicle at all times
- Files and resolves service complaints
- Demonstrates excellent customer service standards
- Works toward continuous quality improvement
- Upholds company culture, customer service, and performance expectations
- Upholds, supports and promotes all company policies and procedures
- Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines
- Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
- Follow Guest Experience Guidelines
- May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- 6 months previous grocery or delivery experience preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Associates of the organization

The associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and may bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures) and is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
