Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Engineer – ELV / ICT to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for Electrical works related to ELV and ICT systems, for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
What You'll Be Doing:
Monitoring the Electrical works related to ELV and IT systems, for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
Reviewing, approving and processing all ELV and IT technical submittals.
Prepare preliminary answers RFI’s related to ELV and IT works.
Coordinating and supervising the pre-installation work of selected ELV and IT activities and operations.
Reviewing contractor’s ELV and IT change order proposals and preparing recommendations to the Senior Electrical Engineer.
Liaison with the necessary sub consultants.
Assist with the review off contractor’s claims related to ELV and IT works and preparing recommendations for claims.
Assist with the review off contractor’s project record documents relevant to their discipline.
Assist with the inspection of completed works and monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of the ELV and IT works.
Prepare “sign-off” package for completed Electrical works with completed documentation for sign-off by Senior Electrical Engineer.
Perform all other duties given by Project Manager.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or ELV/IT from a recognized institution/ university.
Minimum Ten (10) years' experience as Electrical / ELV Engineer with (3 -5) years in Construction Administration in the Middle East.
Strong technical background on ELV and IT systems and good knowledge of ELV and IT systems, products and materials.
Excellent understanding of specifications, Authority requirements.
Complete project understanding in given discipline, from start to hand-over.
Good oral and written communication skills in English is required.
Knowledge/experience in AUTO CAD and Microsoft Office business solution (Excel, Word).
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentation.
Experience in stadium or large public venue projects is strongly preferred due to their specialized and complex nature.
