Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Sales, Access Control the Regional Sales Specialist, Access Control holds a key position to grow the access control sales within a defined region. This role requires a dynamic individual who is knowledgeable and passionate about Access Control and is highly customer focused and efficient. The core objective of this position is to work alongside the North America VS&A sales team to promote access control and engage within end customers within the defined region. 

This role will cover the following areas: Central and Southern Indiana into some neighboring major cities

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist the VS&A CSE team with Access Control knowledge to include;

    • Access Control project design and quoting

    • End User  Q&A in relation to MSI’s access control portfolio

    • Training the VS&A CSE team on industry knowledge and best practices

  • Identify the top potential Access Control end users within the assigned territory 

  • Work with the VS&A CSE team to become self sufficient in all things access control

  • Support Motorola’s video & access control sales activities in the assigned territory by creating, nurturing, and responding to sales opportunities for products and services

  • Finding and developing new markets and determining the net need with end-users through channel partners and engage the Commercial Sales Executives to close the opportunities

  • Support the territory leaders in establishing quarterly and annual sales objectives for access control within the territory. 

  • Track sales activities using lead and project tracking software databases

  • Collaborate with colleagues including Channel Sales Executives, Sales Engineering, and especially the VS&A CAM Teams. 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Access Control, a focus in enterprise accounts  is desired

  • Strong technical acumen and ability to speak towards our products and solutions

  • Proven record of achievement in delivering results and developing collaborative relationships

  • Strong understanding of our go-to-market strategy and sales philosophy is required

  • Time management skills are required, and candidates must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment

  • Strong technical acumen and ability to speak towards our products and solutions

  • Proven record of achievement in delivering results and developing collaborative relationships

  • Ability to travel up throughout North America, as needed

Territory:

  • The BDM, Access Control - Enterprise  will have the responsibility to cover enterprise named accounts throughout  North America.

  • Frequent travel (approximately 75% by air and car) will be required during the execution of the duties of the role


Basic Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Access Control sales or installation
