The Philosophy Department at Hamilton College invites applications for a one-year leave replacement at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2025. The area of specialization is open. Candidates must be prepared to teach Symbolic Logic and History of Modern Western Philosophy. We seek candidates who can demonstrate their experience in teaching or working with broadly diverse student populations. The Philosophy Department at Hamilton College is collegial and philosophically diverse, with a strong commitment to innovative undergraduate instruction, robust research, and accessible scholarship. Candidates with ABD will be considered, although candidates with a Ph.D. are preferred. The expected 9-month base salary range for this position is $76,000 to $78,500.
