Job Description Role Overview: Join our dynamic outpatient Head & Neck Surgery Service as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) and play a pivotal role in patient recovery and care. You'll be at the forefront of managing post-operative care, addressing complications, and performing independent consults alongside a collaborative team of expert surgeons and fellows. As part of a team of over 900 APPs at MSK, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families, all while advancing your career in a supportive and innovative environment. Key Qualifications: Current New Jerse State (NJS) RN and NP licenses/registrations Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility) A Minimum of 2+ years of clinical RN with surgery experience preferred Related National NP certification BLS/ ACLS certification OR Graduate from an accredited PA program A minimum of 0-1+ years of experience as an experienced PA in surgical oncology preferred NCCPA certification Active NJS license or be qualified for state licensure BLS/ACLS certification Core Skills: Strong decision-making abilities, ensuring timely and effective actions that keep the organization moving forward. Skilled in anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple team members, promoting a cohesive work environment. Effective communicator, capable of engaging with diverse groups and fostering open, relatable interactions. Highly adaptable, adjusting approach and demeanor in real-time to meet the shifting demands of various situations. Collaborative, working seamlessly with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive care to Head & Neck surgery patients. Proficient in implementing patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum.
