Where You Will Work
Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. As a Hybrid employee, you will collaborate primarily virtually anywhere in the U.S. except California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and South Carolina. Additional states may be excluded based on business factors. Occasionally, you may be required to attend in-person meetings at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix and/or one of our site locations. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Amenities at the Hub include a working café, phone booths and meeting rooms with technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration. In-person attendance may vary based on the position and department requirements.

Description
- Develop knowledge of and execute tasks using engineering principles related to site-wide water systems including hydrology, hydraulics, hydrogeology, water treatment plant (process) design, and general water quality for the purposes of quantifying water balance across process, mine, and storm water areas
- Provide guidance and support to operational areas with water data measurement/collection, Quality Assurance, instrument calibration verification, flowsheet mapping, updating operational rules, and performing standard computations/analysis for water accounting - site-wide process water circuits are included (with focus on tailings storage facilities and leach stockpiles), as well as storm water and mine facilities
- Develop understanding of Tailings, Crushed Leach, and Water Management System
- Contribute to the coordination of multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to information interpretation and task execution
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams in the management of operational water data, reporting and forecasting
- Maintain site-wide operational water simulation model and incorporate water use scenarios that consider specific production plans and climate scenarios to quantify water balance performance
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline from an accredited curriculum with three (3) years of experience in applicable field of expertise, OR
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline from an accredited curriculum with two (2) years of experience in Engineering or related Scientific field
- Knowledge of principles and practice of Civil, Geotechnical, Hydrologic or Water/Wastewater Engineering or a related field of Science or Engineering
- Proficient in MS Office and other Engineering tools (CAD, analytical, mapping)
- Fluency in English
- Certified Engineer-in-Training or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to a diversely educated audience
- Present a positive, professional image
- Self-motivated, energetic, able to execute, and client-service oriented
- Be able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety of yourself and others
- Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering with Hydrologic, Hydraulic, Geotechnical or Water/Wastewater Engineering specialization
- Professional Engineer's license
- At least three (3) years of work experience
- Experience with metal mining design and/or operations, especially with tailings storage facilities (dams), water dams and/or crushed leach stockpiles
- Able to research and analyze information and draw valid conclusions; able to identify new techniques to improve modeling processes
- Able to evaluate and implement new methods and techniques in design projects and operational support
- Well-developed interpersonal skills as well as written and oral communication skills with diverse teams of technical and non-technical staff
- Be able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
- Skilled in related engineering software (AutoCAD/Civil 3D, ArcGIS, GoldSim), hydrologic and hydraulic modeling packages, programming languages
What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $87,000-$121,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
