ATS is looking for a Senior Staff Logistics Management Analyst (Dog Handler) to work at Fort Campbell, KY. Develops and delivers employee training programs. Identifies skill or knowledge gaps among the organizations employee population and develops training content in response to identified training needs. Selects training tools or training delivery mechanisms, based on the material being taught and the audience being targeted. Creates and maintains course content, manuals, or other training materials. Assesses the impact of training programs by measuring employee understanding of the subject matter. Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter. Typically requires BA and 2-4 years.
Responsibilities
Supervises employee training and development programs. Assists in the selection of training tools or training delivery mechanisms. Coordinates the flow of work through the department, assigning tasks. Designs assessments meant to measure the performance of training programs and collects data. Leads and directs the work of other employees. Typically has authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
- Provides instruction to students in their Military Working Dog (MWD) Handler training course and assist the customer with the selection of MWD’s.
- Conducts training, presentations, and briefings with military customers and vendors.
- Graduate of a military canine training course or civilian equivalent course a plus.
- Conducts technical analysis of customer’s MWD Handler/Trainer program in accordance with customer specifications and implementations.
- Capable of applying advanced principles, techniques, theories, and concepts into a training program.
- Contributes to the development of new training principles and theories which are highly innovative and ingenious.
- Works under consultative direction towards short and long range MWD Handler/Trainer goals and objectives.
- Capable of developing advanced training ideas and guide their development into a final product. Serve as customer spokesperson on advanced MWD projects and programs and act as onsite representative to military customer’s organization for their MWD Handler/Trainer program.
Qualifications
- The applicant seeking the Dog Handler/trainer position must also have worked in this field and have at least 5 years of dog handling/training experience.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must have at least 5 years of dog handling/training experience.
- Must be a Graduate of a military canine training course or civilian equivalent course a plus.
- Secret Clearance Required.
