Description of Work:
Oversight of proper on-call hiring and staffing structures for all hosted Husker events. Game administrator for highly visible University of Nebraska sports. Deputy Branch Director for football gamedays. Assist as an Event Manager for all sports. Participation in all post-season conference and NCAA events which could include tournament director responsibilities.
Hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate the full-time Guest Relations & Security staff. Prepare, review and approve payroll information on guest relations and event staff and submit to Business Office in timely fashion. Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience in event management or related athletics environment. Supervisory experience required. Computer skills, communication skills, and strong organizational skills required. Work history will show the ability to adjust during an event to meet a changing need. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
Athletic Division I work experience preferred. Game administrator and/or lead event manager for a sport averaging 3,500 or more ticket sales per event.
Posted Salary: $65,500/yr. minimum
