Description:The HR Business Partner Director for Air Mobility and Maritime Missions (AMMM) and Enterprise Performance plays a critical leadership role in shaping and executing innovative people strategies to drive business success. This position combines strategic partnership, employee advocacy, and organizational leadership to support both corporate and business area-specific goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, delivering tailored human resources solutions to complex business challenges.
• Drive organizational design, executive talent development, and large-scale change initiatives that align with business objectives.
• Collaborate with leaders to assess workforce needs, identify potential risks, and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively.
People Strategy Implementation:
• Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver impactful programs, ensuring seamless integration into the AMMM line of business.
• Provide expertise in employee relations, fostering a culture of trust, engagement, and proactive conflict resolution.
• Prepare and guide the organization through change initiatives by identifying gaps, anticipating risks, and delivering effective mitigation strategies.
Site Leadership:
• Act as the Marietta site HR lead, embedding a positive and inclusive workplace culture that prioritizes innovation and agility.
• Ensure alignment between site-specific goals and broader Aeronautics objectives.
Coaching and Collaboration:
• Offer coaching and guidance to leaders and employees at all levels to enhance communication, leadership, and conflict management skills.
• Facilitate collaboration across HR teams and business functions, ensuring a connected and consistent approach to people management.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
• Utilize workforce analytics to inform strategic decisions, delivering adaptable, efficient, and effective people solutions.
• Promote a learning environment that supports continuous improvement, leadership development, and inclusion.
This role requires a dynamic leader with the ability to influence outcomes, foster connectivity, and drive transformation while prioritizing employee engagement and well-being. By focusing on aligning people strategies with business outcomes, the HR Business Partner Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring long-term organizational success and resilience.
Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years demonstrated knowledge of the field/discipline of Human Resources practices, processes, and regulations
• 5+ years demonstrated experience leading others, setting vision/ direction, and partnering with relevant organizations to achieve the intended results
• 5+ years demonstrated experience managing employee relations issues, disciplinary process and investigations
• Demonstrated experience selecting, managing, developing direct reports/ employees, and fostering an inclusive environment
• Demonstrated experience managing projects and initiatives, including developing project plans, identifying stakeholders, preparing corresponding communication plans, identifying of milestones, deadlines, and metrics to assess outcomes/results
• Demonstrated ability and experience coaching executives, leaders, and employees
• Must demonstrate strong decision making and judgment, oral and written communication, business acumen
• Must demonstrate strong financial acumen
• Demonstrated experience using relevant software tools/ solutions e.g., Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Desired Skills:
• Prior experience working in unionized manufacturing operations
• Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field. Master's degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience developing broad and coordinated strategic workforce management plans for overarching client organization, including identification of workforce gaps, opportunities, and methods to address near and long term resource requirements
• Demonstrated experience delivering results for the business in partnership with Human Resource’s Centers of Excellence, corresponding Human Resource’s Business Partners, and other organizations as needed
• Basic to moderate knowledge and experience with change management principles and methodology; preference for experience using Prosci methodology
• Basic to moderate knowledge of org design principles and methodology
• Demonstrated understanding and experience applying Human Capital Analytics and key workforce metrics
• Demonstrated understanding and experience with Culture change models and methodology
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance
• Ability to come into our Marietta facility 2+ days a week

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
