Administrative Assistant - South Plains Implement - Military Veterans

Purpose:
Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. Is responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls appropriately; as well as, additional clerical and accounting duties including filing, routine and non-recurring calculations, reconciliations, verifications, and postings while ensuring accuracy and validity in the accounting process.
Responsibilities:
-Answer incoming calls, serve customer needs, direct calls appropriately
-Communicate with others to answer accounting questions or resolve issues
-Perform accounting duties such as cash deposits, recording routine or recurring transactions
-Reconcile various accounts which includes identifying discrepancies and determining corrective action
-Verify accuracy of information used in select accounting transactions such as researching incorrect information, determining the proper accounting treatment and make correcting entries
-Scanning account payables to Lubbock Support Center
-Additional miscellaneous office jobs as asked
-Maintain an attitude that promotes teamwork
Preferred Requirements:
-Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) plus one year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
-High level of attention to detail and accuracy
-Ability to use various computer programs specific to the position
-Outstanding customer service and communication skills
-Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as, to accept direction on given assignments
-Able to work collectively with co-workers
-Ability to problem solve by using available resources
-Great organizational skills and ability to multi-task
-Understands importance of confidentiality
-Accounting experience required
