We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary
This Senior Accountant position supports the CFO Accounting-Generation area. Specific duties include the following:
+ Regulatory accounting and rate case support
+ Budget and forecasts
+ Variance analysis and other schedules that support financial reporting (10Q, 10K, FERC)
Other Duties Include:
+ Preparing, reviewing and analyzing accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformity to reporting and procedural standards.
+ Conduct complex assignments and analysis involving accounting projects and the day-to-day maintenance of the general ledger.
+ Identify inconsistencies and problems and works to resolve them.
+ Perform appropriate accounting controls.
+ Participate in month-end closing, quarterly and year-end financial reporting activities.
+ Routinely interact with internal and external customers.
+ Advise project teams on specific accounting and internal control issues relevant to new products, major business and organizational events, system conversions, upgrades and enhancements.
+ Provide functional advice or training to less experienced accountants.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
5-6+ years of general accounting experience or 4+ years of public accounting experience.
+ Broad knowledge of U.S. General Accounting Principles (GAAP), practices and procedures
+ Excellent computer skills including Excel
+ Effective communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
+ Excellent analytical skills
+ Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
+ Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred Disciplines: Accounting, Business, Finance
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
