Primary Purpose

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Maintains and administers quality assurance programs to ensure the integrity of business process requirements.Performs duties with the effect of providing premier customer experience.Independently investigates, analyzes and solves complex service application, metering, billing, payment, energy assistance or accounts receivable problems, working with customers and other internal and external stakeholders such as but not limited to, personnel representing; regulatory, community agencies, financial institutions, legislative representatives, service vendors, etc. Provides training and guidance/assistance to Revenue Management Specialists and Representatives for the daily performance of work. Investigates customer appeals and supports resolutions. Analyzes end to end processes, recommends/champions changes and conducts internal and external training as needed. Serves as team lead and acts as a liaison in facilitating high volume workload initiatives, such as daily transaction processing and the management of system exceptions. Fosters the spirit of innovation, continuous improvement and convergence through leading or participating on teams that recommend changes to existing computer logic or processes and provides supporting justification. Duties may be of a varied nature or dedicated to a specialized function/project. Expected to supportother job-related duties and special projects when assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge: Company business systems including CC&B, MDM and other standard software.
  • Skills/Abilities:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the of MS Office products.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and solve complex metering, billing, lost payments, refunds, energy assistance and/or accounts receivable issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in accomplishing initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of company applications and processes associated with Customer Care and Billing (CC&B), Meter Data Management (MDM), and report writing tools (Business Objects, Hyperion, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and lead others in the adoption and implementation of new applications or processes associated with convergence, innovation or continuous improvement projects.
  • Recognized for oral and written communication skills which display tact and discretion.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive account data, maintain confidences, and adhere to all standards of business conduct.
  • Working knowledge of COMAR and other PSC regulations impacting billing or accounts receivable.
  • Knowledge of other customer related operations to facilitate work (e.g. large customer services, field/meter services).
  • Education/Experience: Over five years combined work experience working with customer operations/customer financial operations/other customer interfacing work or the equivalent combination of formal education/training and experience.
