- Creates and updates content on content-managed and static HTML websites. Develops themes and updates existing themes and features on content-managed websites. Provides training on WordPress and other content-managed websites. Compiles data into reports and analyzes finding. 2. Ensures all websites are compliant with Yale Web Accessibility Policy. Provides training and mentoring on web and document accessibility. Tests and performs quality assurance on all new and existing web content. 3. Provides training and mentoring on email design and analytics best practices. 4. Designs and modifies responsive and accessible email templates for all units and/or programs in a school or large department. Includes sophisticated use of multiple coding syntaxes for a broad range of email clients and browsers, for PC, Mac and mobile devices.5. Mentors and assists graduate professional students in developing personal websites to showcase their work. 6. Prepares production photography and graphics for electronic distribution. May create original graphics as required or online animated advertisements. Applies artistic sensibilities while adhering to branding guidelines and designer's creative vision. Responsible for brand consistency across multiple browsers and operating systems. 7. Assists with event and classroom setup. 8. May perform other duties as assigned. Required Skill/ability 1: Demonstrated ability working with HTML, CSS, Photoshop, Dreamweaver or equivalent HTML editing application. Intermediate to advanced ability with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat, basic ability with Microsoft Excel. Strongly demonstrated ability with web-based publications in a PC or Mac environment. Required Skill/ability 2: Strongly demonstrated planning, troubleshooting, customer service, and verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to be a strong self-starter who works independently and in a team setting. Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and to remain calm and collected under pressure. Required Skill/ability 3: Strongly demonstrated ability to follow specific branding guidelines. Strongly demonstrated typography and image processing skills. Required Skill/ability 4: Strongly demonstrated ability to work effectively and flexibly with a large number of staff, students, interns and other professionals representing a diversity of personalities, gender expression, race, sexual orientation, religion, ability, age, class and immigration status. Required Skill/ability 5: Ability to articulate creative and technical concepts to lay users.
