The Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources ( IANR ) Business Centers are a cohesive team that provide professional service, efficient resource management, and effective solution development with integrity, accountability and focus on the customer. As the Business Operations Manager, you will: Serve as a member of the Business Center Management Team, contributing to the strategic vision and planning as well as development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and consistent practices. Be responsible for the overall strategic operational management of assigned IANR business centers, including budgeting, finance, human resources, payroll, pre- and post-award administration, travel processing and purchasing that align with the overall goals of IANR . Make decisions that will affect all of the IANR Business Centers. Implement new or revised processes, determining the appropriate manner of implementation based on their knowledge of UNL and IANR business operations. Work with Business Center Managers to ensure that practices and processes are implemented in a consistent way across the business center structure, providing both training and communication. This position is located on UNL's East Campus, home to the UNL Dairy Store, the Maxwell Arboretum, and plenty of parking! Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, or closely related field plus five years of experience in a senior leadership position to include supervisory and fiscal management experience. Business management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Experience in building and leading strong teams. Excellent problem solving, decision making, planning, oral and written communication, and public relations/interpersonal skills. Extensive knowledge of accounting, human resources, and business management practices. Preferred Qualifications: The following qualifications are preferred but not required: Master's degree in business administration or closely related field. Experience with business process re-engineering or implementation. Posted Salary: $77,035/yr minimum Job Type: Full-Time
