Electrical Field Service Technician - Military Veterans

Our client is currently seeking a dedicated Electrical Field Service Technician to join their team in Memphis, TN; Camden, SC; or Theodore, AL. In this role, you will collaborate with their Regional Reliability team to help achieve strategic reliability goals. Your mission will be to ensure the safe and dependable operation of production facilities while minimizing lifecycle costs, making your expertise invaluable in maintaining operational excellence.

Key responsibilities:

As an Electrical Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical systems and equipment across multiple facilities. Your technical skills will be crucial as you maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical distribution systems, including substations, breakers, switchgear, and transformers up to 138kV.

You will also conduct predictive maintenance tasks such as IR thermography and transformer oil analysis, ensuring that equipment runs efficiently and reliably. Additionally, you will provide on-site or remote support to plant personnel, driving resolution on high-impact issues with urgency and integrity.

Qualifications:

- The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in maintaining medium voltage (5kV to 15kV) electrical systems

- You should possess a strong background in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, along with a solid understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices

- Excellent communication skills, a self-starter attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this role

- Familiarity with computers and standard software packages, such as MS Office, is also required
