Field Service Technician - Military Veterans

This organization has secured a leading position in the North American marketplace concerning material handling, weighing, filling and classification technology. They specialize in the handling and packaging of solid dry bulk materials, liquids and pasty products. They carry a wide range of diversified systems with different degrees of automation for individual applications and requirements. This organization has a long history of hiring military veteran talent. They are currently looking for Field Service Techs in their Houston TX and Conyers GA locations. This is a travel position, however, most of the travel is local and you will be home each night. About 20% of the travel is overnight throughout the year. This is a great training opportunity, the first 6 months to a year will be formal and on the job training, and they also train annually at their HQ in Germany as needed.

In this role, you will provide customer support by performing preventive maintenance, service, installation, commissioning, training and consultation. As a Field Service Technician, you will be the face of the company. You will travel to customer sites for the preventive and corrective maintenance of company equipment. You will also help with installations and the commissioning of company equipment at customer sites. They are looking for technicians with electrical troubleshooting experience and some level of mechanical aptitude as well. The majority of their Houston customers use liquid filling machines which are a mix of electrical and mechanical components. The Georgia position will service a variety of systems to include bagging and other material handling machinery.

Base salary, $65 - $85K depending on experience and location, plus overtime, a company vehicle, and per diem when traveling. They offer full benefits and a 401k.
