Analyst, Lease Accounting - Military Veterans

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
- Lease Administration:
- Abstract new leases into the lease reporting tool and assist in maintaining the tool to ensure all leases are accurately recorded.
- Oversee the full lease lifecycle, including lease initiation, modifications, renewals, and terminations.
- Accounting Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with ASC 842 (and assist with local statutory accounting including Dutch GAAP and IFRS).
- Prepare and review journal entries related to lease obligations and related assets.
- Prepare lease reconciliations and investigate differences.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in annual budget and quarterly forecast updates.
- Analyze lease data and prepare reports for management and stakeholders.
- Accurately process lease invoices.
- Learn and communicate non-GAAP metrics associated with leases that are important to a REIT (EBITDA/AFFO).
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the procurement and legal teams to review lease agreements and ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations regarding lease transactions.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in lease accounting and reporting.
- Assist in the implementation of new systems or tools to enhance lease management.
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
- 0-3 years of experience
- CPA or CMA is a plus
- Prior experience with WorkDay is a plus
- Experience with lease management software is a plus
- Able to perform in a fast-paced environment
