Field Service Technician - Military Veterans

Our client, who has a history of hiring from RecruitMilitary, is looking to replicate their past wins with more military veteran talent. They are a leading cutting machine manufacturer, providing custom engineered solutions and innovative technologies for a variety of industries. Their team is currently looking for military Veterans with a strong mechanical background to join as a Field Service Technician, and live within an hour of Buffalo or San Antonio (San Antonio requires you to speak Spanish)

A day in the life:

As a Field Service Technician, you'll be responsible for installing and maintaining the company's automated cutting systems and material handling equipment at customer sites within the US. There is limited travel to Mexico and Canada. This travel is dependent on learning additional skillsets and expanding your equipment knowledge.

You can expect to travel 3 weeks out of the month. Your work week will begin Monday morning, returning home Friday afternoon. Per diem will be provided and all travel is paid at half pay. You can expect to work 8am-5pm, with any hours outside of that timeframe being paid as time and a half.

Candidates that possess strong mechanical aptitude with a basic understanding of electricity will be successful. You'll be implementing those skillsets to assemble complicated cutting systems, in a rapidly growing industry. If you're the kind of person who enjoys taking something apart, putting it back together coupled with a basic understanding of how circuits work, 3 phase lines versus 1 phase and have the ability to read a meter--you will be successful.

The company is also looking for individuals who are able to communicate and train operators on mechanical and preventative maintenance procedures. They're leaning on the military to be customer facing and able to communicate effectively both over the phone and in-person.

Base salary, $65 - $70K with travel pay and overtime. 2 weeks' vacation per year; 401K w/ 4% match.
