Position Summary The Residential Community Coordinator (RCC) will work creatively to build new and innovative programs that enhance the student educational experience outside the classroom.. SFBU operates a non-traditional university housing operation involving approximately eighty-eight beds in condo units near the university. The units each have an in-house laundry unit and a kitchen with appliances. The RCC works closely with the Housing Office, which is part of the University Operations unit, maintenance to provide a conducive environment that supports students' persistence and academic success. This position reports directly to the Dean of Students and collaborates closely with other university units. This is a full-time, exempt position, located in Fremont, CA, and must reside in university-provided housing. Key Responsibilities Implements university policies and procedures and promotes community standards. Provides input to the Housing Office about roommate matching. Assists in planning and establishing goals and objectives to enhance the residential experience and works closely with Student Affairs in the planning and implementation. Executes departmental processes (i.e., move-in, move-out, occupancy checks, room changes, assignments, etc.) in collaboration with the Housing Office. Ensures daily, evening, weekend, and vacation on-call coverage to address student emergencies and concerns. Facilitates the preparation of students transitioning out of university housing into off-campus housing. Adjudicates reports involving potential policy or conduct violations. Plans, manages, and implements diverse educational programs, ensuring theoretical soundness throughout the academic year. Creates and facilitates a residence council promoting student leadership on campus. Respond to individual resident needs and coordinate co-curricular programming to promote co-curricular learning goals. Responds as the first on-campus professional-level contact for crisis intervention and management for the residential community via a 24-hour on-call. Oversees housing marketing and information supporting student enrollment. Coordinates all maintenance and repair work with Facilities Management. Participates in the Early Alert System for the campus and serves on the Behavioral Intervention Team/ CARE team. Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university. 2 years of experience working on a college or university campus in residence life. Experience working with and supporting diverse populations. Strong team player, good communicator, and interested in helping students achieve their academic goals. Demonstrated ability to develop and carry-out successful programming for a residential community, or equivalent. Other duties as assigned. Additional/Preferred Qualifications Leadership Program Development experience. Student Conduct/Housing Community Standards experience. Experience teaching and/or presenting educational workshops. This position enjoys university-provided housing. Salary Range : $66,560 - $75,000, depending on experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*: Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks. Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation. Occasionally use a telephone.
