We are seeking a(an) Assistant Controller for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Job Summary and Qualifications

Schedule: the position works Monday - Friday but will be required to work in office the 5th, 6th, and 7th day of each month even if those days fall on weekend days.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $99,000

As the Assistant Controller in our accounting department, you will be a key member of the finance team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the general ledger and the reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts on a monthly-basis.


  • You will take a lead role in key accounting processes, such as fixed assets, leases, physician payments, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, joint ventures, semi-annual inventory audits, and assignments as delegated by leadership.

  • You will perform assigned closing entries, procedures, and reviews each month, which fall on days 3 through 8 of every month regardless of the day of the week or weekend these dates fall on.

  • You will foster an environment that encourages open communication within the department and between hospital management by participating in hospital-wide committees or work groups.

  • You will be responsible for completing all SOX quarterly and semi-annual audits to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and GAAP requirements.

  • You will participate in the preparation of the annual budget, Medicare cost report workpapers, tax work-papers, and ad hoc projects.

What qualifications you will need:

  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.

  • 2 years accounting and/ or related experience required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
