Job Overview
The Research Assistant will work with the College of Nursing's Office of Research and Scholarship and will report Dr. Anthony Faiola. The Research Assistant will assist with the coordination of research projects and processes in the discipline of the health and medical sciences and experimental research. The successful candidate will work within a team, carrying out research studies or in the development, testing, and implementation of health technologies as non-invasive interventions in support of patient care. This position is part-time at 50% FTE and is funded through the research start-up funds with an expected end date on 8/31/2027.
Essential Functions
• Assist faculty researchers and other collaborators in designing and executing research experiments
• Perform data collection/processing, data statistical analyses, including selecting the appropriate analysis procedure
• Write and submit IRB documentation
• Engage in fieldwork and writing of research publications
• Support the writing of grant proposals
• Participate in poster sessions and presentations
Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Additional Qualifications Considered
- MS or PhD Degree or currently pursuing such degrees as a full-time student in relevant fields.
- Organizational and project management skills
- Effective problem solving/critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and with a strong work ethic
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds
- Proficiency in SPSS or similar statistical software

Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.
