The Human Health (HH) IT US Data Services team's mission is to focus on driving these capabilities to increase utilization of data within the organization.

Reporting to the HH IT US Data Services Product Line Leader, this role will be responsible for the technical delivery aspects of the end-to-end data capabilities and data products. The role influences and ensures timely and high-quality value delivery across all aspects of the data value chain including but not limited to a) Data Ingestion of critical organization data to support Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Patient Engagement, Strategy partnerships and Alliances b) Data Mastering, Data Governance including but not limited to Data Marketplace, Data Quality, Data Risk Management c) Value Realization with use of these Data Assets.

This role will also have significant interaction with our partners, suppliers, and various data & technology providers, so she or he must be a strong and results driven individual.

Successful candidate will demonstrate pharmaceutical domain knowledge, enterprise-thinking, willingness to listen, ability to communicate complex technical topics in a simple language to stakeholders of varied technical proficiency, and a bias towards action.

Primary Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of this position include but not limited to:

  • Lead efforts to design, build, and maintain data pipeline architecture encapsulating the entire value chain from sourcing to making the data ready for stakeholders.
  • Partner with Product Line leader, Product Manager(s) and other stakeholders in understanding, prioritizing, planning and implementing technical solutions that deliver desired business value.
  • Serve as the single point of accountability for all technical matters within the product line.
  • Coordinate execution for successful delivery across various teams and vendor partners to meet product line objectives with high quality, timeliness, and within budget / estimates while ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Contribute to developing accurate and realistic plans, resource estimates, and timelines in alignment with prioritized business requirements.
  • Coach, guide, and manage a team of technical staff across product line to deliver solutions from conception to retirement, aligned with key architectural design patterns.
  • Define and enforce development standards, best practices and review processes to ensure consistency of delivery quality and reusability of solution components.
  • Apply risk-based decision making to complex problems and consult with relevant subject matter advisors as needed to inform the decision. Operate with Integrity and ensure adherence with organization policies, quality assurance and data protection processes.
  • Conduct innovation proof of concepts and pilots to identify and onboard pertinent solutions following company policies and in partnership with other stakeholders in the organization.
  • Exhibit a passion for data and eagerness to learn new technologies and trends.


Education Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's Degree required; prefer concentration in IT, Engineering or Computer Science.

Required & Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, with demonstrated expertise in the Data and Analytics space.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a technical leader of data product teams.
  • Strong expertise in architecting and implementing data and analytics platforms and data pipelines using modern, cloud-based technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly establish credibility and trust with a variety of stakeholders.


Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Demonstrable knowledge of two or more technologies commonly found used Pharmaceutical commercial space - such as Veeva, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics - is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in Life sciences and Pharmaceutical industry and demonstrable proficiency in Life Sciences Commercial data domains.
  • Prior experience in architecting and implementing performant solutions at tera-byte scale using cloud technologies.
  • Certifications in one AWS and/or Databricks is a strong plus.
  • Masters Degree preferred.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected US salary range:
$135,500.00 - $213,400.00
