The role of the professional Registered Nurse (RN) reflects the values and priorities of the nursing profession. The RN is a proactive member of the multidisciplinary team that provides patient care. The RN recognizes that the role requires both clinical knowledge and the ability to provide comfort.
POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process and maintaining compliance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act. The provision of this care is to be conducted in a collaborative manner with all members of the healthcare team in order to deliver quality care and the best possible patient outcome.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential core function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, experience, and ability necessary to perform this job.

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
· Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma from an accredited institution required.
· Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
· Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held in another state, active FL RN compact license required within 90 days of hire. Advanced Nurse Practitioner license acceptable
· American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required within 30 days*
