Do Great Things! Durham Technical Community College is hiring a Drone Adjunct Instructor in the Engineering Department. The Adjunct Instructor is responsible for course preparation, delivery, attendance and grading. The Instructor will work closely with his or her Discipline Chair on matters related to and for the benefit of the Engineering Department and its students. More specifically, and consistent with the terms and conditions of appointment as stipulated in the contract of employment. Teach all courses, as assigned, for the full duration of scheduled instruction Be fully prepared with a syllabus and instructional plans for each class session in accordance with the stated objectives of the course Enforce academic policy and procedures at all times, and comply with institutional rules and regulations Maintain complete course and student records, and forms Stay current with developments in the field of instruction Assume other necessary responsibilities and perform additional tasks as assigned by the chair, department dean, chief instructional officer, or president, in meeting the needs of the department, division, and college Assume responsibility for laboratory/classroom preparation, including maintenance and cleanup, and recommend, as necessary, appropriate laboratory supplies and equipment. Must complete mandatory training. Associate of Engineering, Associate in Electronics Engineering Technology (AE), an Associate of Science (AS) Degree, or a related field is required. FAA Part 107 remote pilot certification - required Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field FAA Part 107 remote pilot certification - required Work Experience: Successful experience teaching at a university or community college is preferred. Experience as a Drone contractor is preferred.
