We are looking for a talented Support Specialist Electrician to join our team specializing in troubleshooting, assembling, testing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems for our Columbus Engine Plant in Columbus, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Troubleshoots, assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical systems using all necessary tools to keep equipment available and capable.
- Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.
- Performs work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and specifications using various tools, measuring, and testing instruments.
- Fully proficient in performing troubleshooting, electrical repairs, and maintenance of equipment.
- Conforms applicable codes and standards to maintain, install, and operate electrical systems.
- Participates actively with local Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.
- Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) - Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. Stop work and immediately report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.

- Ability to work schedule – 2nd Shift, Mon – Fri 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM, with mandatory and voluntary overtime based on the needs of the facility.
- Pay starting at $31.50/HR + $1.50/HR Shift Differential.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, Certifications
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
- Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
- Must have strong PLC troubleshooting, the ability to read electrical prints, and use logic to diagnose equipment
- Must be able to work from heights, operate fork truck and PIV, and utilize hoist and crane
- A strong industrial/manufacturing background is preferred.
- Knowledge of PLCs, CNC Controls, Servos, Spindles, and Microns (ultra-precision) preferred.
- The ability to read blueprints and schematics is a plus.
