Maintenance Technician - Military Veterans

Located in Rifle, Colorado, this organization is the second largest producer of sodium bicarbonate in North America. Their product is used domestically and worldwide in the food and baking, personal care, pharmaceutical, animal nutrition, agriculture, pool and water treatment, and industrial markets. Their operation uses an efficient and environmentally-friendly solution mining process to recover pure, naturally-occurring sodium bicarbonate from the largest known nahcolite deposit in the world. They are currently looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician.

You will be responsible for installing, servicing and repairing echanical equipment with hand tools, test equipment, diagrams and manufacturer's specifications in a timely, accurate manner.

- Install, diagnose, service and repair mechanical equipment in the plant

- Apply knowledge and ability to use hand tools and operate test equipment

- Read and understand diagrams to trace issues and understand root cause

- Examine equipment during operating cycles to detect excess vibration, overheating, fluid leaks, and loose, noisy, or non-functioning parts

- Calibrate timers and thermostats, and adjust contact points as indicated

- Replace worn or defective parts such as switches, pumps, motors, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, heating elements and defective wiring

- Understand and troubleshoot pneumatic devices

- Provide research for part prices/availability, manufacturer's specifications, warranty status, estimate approval or other related items for customers as required

- Maintain a professional manner to enhance the company's image

- Determine and explain nature/cost of repairs to management in a clear manner to avoid miscommunication, and review work orders with other technicians and managers

They are looking for strong military talent with mechanical skillsets. There is a wide pay range for experience levels.

Base salary, $70 - $95K, plus overtime, benefits and a 401k. Day shift, with a 10 hour rotating schedule. You will probably work every other weekend.
