Eastern Oregon University (EOU) is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Athletic Trainer to work in the Athletic Department. This is a Full-Time, 12-month, 1.0 FTE position that reports directly to the Head Athletic Trainer. The Assistant Athletic Trainer provides sports medicine care to the student-athletes in their respected sports. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. The position works closely and communicates effectively with coaches and staff to ensure smooth operations and care for student-athletes, as well as ensures smooth processes for teams and travel. The Assistant Athletic Trainer supports the head athletic trainer with operational support necessary to run an effective athletic training room and provide exceptional care. The Assistant Athletic Trainer ensures athletic excellence; supports the physical, emotional, social, and mental development of student-athletes through a robust system of care and support; embraces the responsibility of equitable treatment and promotion of diversity, acceptance, and inclusion; encourages innovation and cultivates a mindset for growth; promotes community engagement and character development through respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship, and servant leadership; strictly adheres to the highest level of fiscal control and full compliance with all governing associations with transparency and integrity ; and engages EOU alumni through collaborative efforts that reflect a "Lifetime Mountie" approach.
