Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager, individual contributor supporting the Program Office in the Environmental & Airframe Control Systems (EACS) business within Power & Controls.  The Finance Manager will be responsible for and will oversee the reporting and consolidation of the Program Office, engineering projects and financials, forecast and plans.

What You Will Do

  • Financial reporting, planning, and analysis in compliance with GAAP and all RTX policies

  • and procedures

  • Journal entry, P&L, and Balance Sheet account review and approval

  • Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, operations, programs, engineering and

  • other areas of business for financial and strategic planning purposes

  • Oversee and assist with reporting and reconciliation of estimates at completion (EACs) on

  • engineering and development programs

  • Monitor and communicate financial risks and opportunities within the business

  • Provide financial analytics to leadership team to support decision making

  • Support ad hoc management requests for financial information and analysis

  • Sarbanes Oxley and Government accounting compliance, reporting, and testing

  • Utilize CORE tools to identify and drive process improvement initiatives within the

  • organization

What You Will Learn

  • Learn to prepare financial reports and analyses in strict compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and all relevant RTX policies and procedures.

  • Gain hands-on experience in reviewing and approving journal entries, as well as conducting thorough reviews of Profit and Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet accounts.

  • Gain understanding of project financials, monitoring variances, and ensuring accurate financial projections.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience 

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract ​

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience leveraging strong leadership skills, adaptability, and self-direction to drive business results

  • Master’s degree or CPA preferred

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related

  • U.S. Government accounting experience a plus

  • Systems exposed to: HFM, OneStream, Hyperion Essbase, SAP, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
