Job Summary and Qualifications

  • The Unit Manager will be in charge of the daily operations in providing care to medical/surgical/telemetry patients.
  • Manages the provision of adequate and competent staffing.
  • Addresses issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
  • Ensures departmental compliance with regulatory and The Joint Commission requirements.
  • Monitors and adheres to annual hospital operating budget.
  • Implements cost-effective strategies in staffing and supply management decision.
  • Assists staff in providing patient care and services as needed.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  • Graduate of a Nursing Program from an accredited school; BSN required.
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana.
  • CPR for Healthcare Providers to be completed within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS to be completed within 180 days of hire.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a RN in Med/Surg/Tele.
  • 2 years of leadership experience such as Charge Nurse, House Supervisor, etc.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
