Quality Inspector - Military Veterans

A FAA certified repair station specializing in gas turbine engine component repairs for air, land, and sea is looking for Quality Inspectors on their 2nd and 3rd shift, Monday through Friday. They hire, train, develop and lead a robust team of highly technical workers that make the most difficult types of repairs on gas turbine engines. They are a certificated FAA repair station. They operate in the Aerospace field as well as the Marine & Industrial space working with the airlines, engine overhaul shops as well as original manufacturers such as GE, Pratt & Whitney and IAE.

The Quality Inspector will inspect aerospace and marine gas turbine engine components for airworthiness and conformance to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standards during receiving, in-process, and final inspections. This position will verify and validate work performed by the organization and subcontractors to meet specifications in accordance with FAA and other world regulatory bodies. The Inspector position will perform these important tasks from an all-new state-of-the-art building (completed in June of 2023) with ultra-modern technology and equipment throughout. Through their extensive in-house training program, the successful applicant will be instructed via a series of computer based and hands-on training, the necessary skills of the position.

Job duties:

- Visually inspect components for wear, corrosion, fretting, gouges, bent or worn features, elongated holes, and any other damage of the turbine engine

- Measure parts using various measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, surface gages, dial-indicator gages, and other inspection tools to measure sizes

- Determine whether part features meet standards for serviceability, reparability, and overhauled condition

- Interpret standards provided by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) manuals and instructions for continued airworthiness and industry standards

- Thoroughly document visual and dimensional inspection findings in reporting forms

- Perform documentation inspection by checking customer purchase orders and other customer documentation, check vendor documentation, and CRT documentation

- Clearly report all findings, record location, size, acceptability parameters, and other information relevant to the evaluation, acceptance, and corrections

- Work closely with the engineering team on new component procedures and repairs to ensure continuous improvement in the department

Base salary, $60 - $75K plus a two-dollar an hour shift differential. There overtime available, plus they offer benefits, a 401k and bonus programs.
