Digital Transformation Change Manager - Hybrid | Loyola Marymount University - Military Veterans

This position enables the success of digital transformation by providing leadership to the ITS Change Management, Outreach, Training, Communications, and Marketing functions. This person works closely with the ITS leadership and staff, project teams, and stakeholders to focus on the people side of change - including changes to business processes, systems, and technology. This focus on the unique needs of LMU students, faculty, staff will improve ITS project and service delivery and drive engaged stakeholders, faster adoption, and higher ultimate utilization for the continuous stream of digital transformation initiatives at LMU. In addition to supporting projects to achieve desired results and outcomes on time and on budget, the person will champion ITS services and operations that are optimized to effectively meet stakeholder needs. The Digital Transformation Change Manager reports directly to the ITS Director of Administration and Planning. Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities Develop and implement a Digital Transformation Change Management Center of Excellence to proliferate the use of Change Management including framework(s), strategies, plans, practices, and templates to maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. Leading and coordinating change management activities including supporting and participating on project teams integrating change management activities into their project plans including acting as a coach for Sponsors, frontline managers, and supervisors as they help people through changes. Collaborate with LMU staff (e.g. Provost staff, Marcomm, etc), external partners (AJCU and Educause) and suppliers for program success. Ensure ITS outreach, training, marketing, communications, events, and products are proactive, timely, high quality, and effective in support of projects, services, and operations. Assess and monitor adoption of ITS services for opportunities for applied change management, training, and marketing. Provide direct supervision to the ITS Training and Communications employee(s). Lead and support ITS People and Culture initiatives to create a supportive environment for employees to work, grow, and develop. Develop and manage a User Experience program that identifies opportunities for improvement and training for different community members; e.g. students, faculty, staff. Perform outreach duties to increase community awareness of ITS services, initiatives, and time-sensitive tasks, as assigned. Prepare and deliver oral and written presentations. Perform other related duties as assigned Requisite Qualifications Typically, a Bachelor's Degree related to Organizational Change Management, Communications, Marketing, or User Design or related field or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes. Three years of experience leading Organizational Change Management efforts and teams in support of technology and digital transformation projects. Including planning, developing, and applying change management practices and tools. Organizational Change Management certification is required. Strong stakeholder management skills including expertise in building trust, negotiating, and influencing others to support change. Excellent leadership abilities to manage, motivate, and inspire ITS team members and stakeholders. Effective communication skills (both written and oral). Excellent writing and editing skills, with proven ability to write for the appropriate audience, edit, and organize thoughts in a clear, concise, and well-organized manner. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Use interpersonal techniques associated with tact, patience and courtesy. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of projects. Demonstrated ability to drive tasks to completion, managing tight deadlines and exercising resilience and influence. Superior organization, communication, and presentation skills including use of marketing, publishing, multimedia, and social media tools in support of digital transformation. Effective facilitator adept at planning and leading discussions to achieve meeting objectives Ability to work and lead in a team environment, plan, coordinate, and implement complex activities. Ability to resolve a broad range of issues in a timely fashion. Ability to prioritize, coordinate requests, projects deadlines, and communications in an environment with competing priorities. Demonstrated excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to work collaboratively and independently with broader internal and external constituencies and with technical professionals to accomplish group tasks and projects.
