Field Service Technician - Military Veterans

This company is one of the nation's leading manufacturers of shipboard systems for communication, navigation and switching. They build high-quality, standard and custom products for military and commercial use, including sound powered telephones. The Field Service Engineer/Test Technician position offers a unique opportunity for military veterans with electronics expertise to join a dynamic team. This role involves providing initial equipment startup at customer sites, troubleshooting, and problem resolution, as well as supporting production testing activities. The Field Service Engineer/Test Technician is a crucial member of the Quality Assurance team, responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality.

Primary responsibilities include traveling approximately two weeks per month to customer sites for equipment startup and troubleshooting, representing the company positively, and communicating effectively with engineering and production personnel. Additionally, the role involves testing and troubleshooting complex analog and digital electronic equipment and systems, down to the field replaceable component level. Experience with reading and interpreting schematic diagrams and Navy shipboard experience are advantageous.

Candidates for this position should possess an Associate's degree in Electronics, with a Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience. They should demonstrate the ability to work independently, with remote engineering support, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience in test system setup, training, and an active security clearance are considered advantageous.
