Overview:


The Construction Manager will oversee and inspect large multi-million-dollar U.S. Government construction projects at a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) facility. The role requires 10 years of experience in evaluating electrical, mechanical, structural, and roofing systems. Safety qualifications for DoD projects are essential.





Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure projects comply with design, budget, schedule, and DoD, Army Corps, and federal building codes.



• Review construction documents, recommend methods/equipment, and handle administrative duties (e.g., document filing).



• Oversee on-site activities including scheduling, material control, and safety regulations compliance.



• Monitor progress and submit construction reports.



• Mentor staff and ensure adherence to safety and environmental controls.



• Conduct and attend construction reviews and meetings.



• Handle official inspection visits from government and DI personnel.

• U.S. Citizenship required.



• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or 10 years of facilities construction experience.



• Knowledge of cost controls, international construction projects, and federal regulations (FAR, DFAR, FCPA).



• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, and roofing (HVAC and flat roof systems preferred).



• Microsoft Project and reporting tools experience preferred.



• Must pass a background check and drug screen for a Common Access Card (CAC) to access the base.

• Leadership and communication skills.



• Expertise in interpreting construction documents and inspecting ongoing work.



• Strong organizational abilities and proficiency with safety standards.
