OFFICIAL TITLE: Director for the Office of Grants and Sponsored Research SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Vice President for University Advancement SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Subordinate staff within the Office of Grants and Sponsored Research General Statement of Duties: The Director for the Office of Grants and Sponsored Research is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the development and administration of externally funded grants and related research functions for faculty and staff. Under the direction of the Vice President for University Advancement, the Director will play an active and engaged role in the cultivation of grant funds to support current and future University initiatives, aligning the office's work with the University's strategic plan and mission. The Director will be responsible for all facets of the preparation, production and management of grant proposals to foundations, government agencies and corporations including prospect research, cultivation, proposal development, stewardship, institutional compliance, database management and event planning. They will coordinate with faculty and administrators in the preparation and management of grant projects for institutional, departmental, multidisciplinary and individual-based research. The firm annual salary range for this position is $105,000- $110,000, commensurate with relevant professional experience and education.
