40Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will create, develop and implement all aspects necessary for the establishment of a comprehensive program aimed at servicing the needs of neuroscience patients, in both hospital-based and clinic settings, in partnership with Covenant Childrens Hospital. Demonstrates sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills. Knowledgeable in implementation and development of evidence based practice within Neuroscience.
The advanced practice provider selected for this role will need to train at Cook Medical Center in Fort Worth for up to four months.
Experience/Education:
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses
Masters Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
Minimum 2 year of pediatric nursing experience or related specialized area strongly preferred.
Experience as a Neurology APP strongly preferred.

Physician Assistants
Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
Minimum 1 year of experience in related specialized area strongly preferred. Experience as a Neurology APP strongly preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses
Current Texas professional registered nurse license
Current Texas professional advance practice registered nurse license
Certified as a PNP or FNP
Current Basic Life Support (CPR) required
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required

Current Texas professional physician assistant license Certified as a PA-C
