Marriott's Salute to Military Service: New Opportunity as Purchasing or Procurement Manager

We are seeking a Manager with an exceptional eye for detail, an understanding of organizational procedures, and a knack for financial operations. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing Work Across Departments: In charge of ordering, receiving, storing, distributing, and ensuring payment for items. You will also manage and maintain approved vendor lists.
- Assuring Sanitation Compliance: You will oversee all aspects of purchasing to ensure quality, profitability, and sanitation standards in accordance with brand guidelines.
- Maintaining Budget Controls: Work closely with the Executive Chef to manage and lower budgeted food and controllable costs.
- Inventory Management: Implement a first-in/first-out inventory rotation system for all storeroom products while maintaining an accurate log of controllable items and ensuring the security of the food and beverage storeroom assets.
- Delivery Coordination: Coordinate with kitchen, restaurant management, and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of goods, meeting advanced food production needs.
- Financial Records Management: Use computer programs to perform daily and period-end food and beverage costs, maintaining inventory controls for appropriate levels, dating, rotation, and requisitions.
- Supporting Purchasing Operations: You will be the key link between suppliers and the organization, handling duties such as ensuring price and product availability issues are communicated as needed, receiving and inspecting all deliveries, and ensuring accurate administration of all invoices.
- Maintaining Finance and Accounting Goals: Prepare timely reports, document profits and losses accurately, achieve and exceed various goals, including performance goals, budget goals, and team goals.
- Supporting Property Operations: Work with operations teams to develop an operational strategy, evaluate if teams are meeting service needs, and participate in walk-throughs on property to ensure maintenance and preventative measures are in place.
- Customer and Guest Experience: Provide excellent customer service, respond timely to customer service department requests and ensure all team members meet hospitality requirements.
- Supporting Safety Standards and Work Procedures: Implement property emergency plan and accident prevention programs, follow property-specific recovery plans and ensure a safe working environment.
